THE MOTION OF THE SPIRIT by Roger Roth Sr.
The Holy Spirit is vibrant, powerful, full of love, and desirous to live in all and through all. His advancement within the Body of Christ escalates as our understanding of His operation increases in manifestation. We learn to focus on truths and discover things placed within our hearts from the foundation of the world by God.
The pursuit of God is not necessarily learning about some ‘new thing.’ Rather, it can about discovering the hidden seed of Christ within each of us that reveals our own unique aspect in His Kingdom. We are spiritual beings in a natural world. We are to ‘become’ the manifestation of His Kingdom in the earth. As we mirror His will, we unite the heavenly and earthly realms into one. “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven,” MATTHEW 6:10
Like a treasure hid deep in the earth, so is the wealth of God placed within the spiritual recesses of each of us. “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels … Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field…” The revelation is already placed within us. As the mask of self is uncovered by the power of His Word, the revelation of the light of Christ within becomes more perceptible to those around us.
The Holy Spirit operates through motion. Spirit is not static by always in motion. “And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” GENESIS 1:2b “And the Spirit of God came upon him.” NUMBERS 24:2b “For as many as are led by the Spirt of God, they are the sons of God.” ROMANS 8:14 Learning to dwell in the motion of the Holy Spirit is experiencing God in heavenly places.
The Spirit of the Lord moves like the wind. It cannot be confined and not visible to the natural eye. Like wind, it leaves a witness of where it has been. The Spirit can also likened to water—refreshing, cleansing, and taking on the shape of the vessel that holds it.
“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth.” JOHN 16:13 As we learn to live in the motion of the Spirit, He becomes our instructor in every area of life. “The spirit of the LORD shall carry thee whither I know not” JUDGES 14:19a “And the spirit of the LORD came upon him.” The Holy Spirit comes upon us and carries us or translates us, into heavenly places, uttering things “kept secret since the world began.”
Kingdom Operations “Now there are diversities of GIFTS, but the same Spirit. And there are difference of ADMINISTRATIONS, but the same Lord. And there a diversities of OPERATIONS, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.” 1 CORINTHIANS 12:4-6
The manifestation of the Spirit in the Body comes in three areas: Gifts, Ministry and Operations. Kingdom Operations are the principles for functioning in the Kingdom of God. These also fall into three related areas: Kingdom Language, Kingdom Government and Kingdom Customs.
Just as the apostle Paul was concerned about the function and order of the Gifts, Ministries and Operations in the Early Church, today it’s our quest to manifest the Spiritual Tabernacle of God in the Earth…to understand the operation, function and order of the Language, Government and Culture of the Kingdom.
Kingdom Language is the language of the Spirit that comes via what we call gifting. The nine declaration of gifting in 1 Corinthians 12:8-10 are the nine interrelated ways that the Holy Spirit manifests Himself. It’s how God communicates His will to us. It is through one or a combination of these, that the entire expression of the Spirit comes forth.
Kingdom Government comes through administrations. It is as much how the local Church functions in ministry as it is in governing order of the Kingdom Tabernacle of God in the earth. Kingdom Government establishes the order of authority in the line of ministry in the entire House of God, and all the way through the generations to each family House.
The term Kingdom Customs implies a procedure or way of handling our gifting and ministry functions in the Kingdom—it’s the operation of the Spirit through Kingdom Language and Kingdom Government in the Church. In other words, Kingdom Culture defines the protocol of the House of God on earth … as it is in heaven.
Are we ready for the greatest MOVE of God ever?—It’s the restoration of all things! The Kingdom of God manifesting in the Risen Body of Christ. How aligned we are to the Spirit determines our participation in what’s happening now. God said, “Are you ready?—the whirlwind is coming.”
