“THE DETERMINED PURPOSE AND FOREKNOWLEDGE OF GOD” by Roger Roth Sr.
Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it. —ACTS 2:22-24
When God approves us, He (not us), does the miracles using us as vessels. Now think about the fact that God delivered Jesus to be crucified by His own counsel and foreknowledge. Evil men did it, but only by the plan and permission of God.
But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
—2 CORINTHIANS 2:7-8
The wisdom of God is hidden in a mystery and the princes of this world did not know this mystery or have this wisdom, for if they did they would not have done what God by His foreknowledge and counsel determined to be done.
He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. —MATTHEW 13:11
To some it is ‘not’ given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven—why?
…lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
—MATTHEW 13:13b
As we look at our present day, could it be that God, in His determinate counsel and foreknowledge, already made the decisions about what will happen? And, just as any present evil does ‘not’ take Him by surprise—He already planned His response from the beginning.
The disciples only understood this after the resurrection. Likewise, we will probably only understand the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God in this election—after the election. God shows Himself powerful and brings the wisdom of man to nothing.
And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in. —COLOSSIANS 2:15
Maybe we should be expectant that God is making an open spectacle of all the worldly principalities and powers who have hid for so long who they are and what they believe. Perhaps the truth will set us free.
Maybe the exposing of these principalities and powers is a witness to all that they were forewarned by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God?
We ask You Father, to expose principalities and powers. We ask for ourselves, our children, our grandchildren, and for the future of America … that all the prayers and sacrifices of generations past are not swallowed up by corruption of this present age; that fear, the chief tool of the enemy and forces bent on American destruction—be brought to nothing.
We confess the failure of institutions, especially the Church, and ask for Your mercy—pleading the Blood of Jesus. Abraham asked if You would spare Sodom and Gomorra if there were 10 righteous. We likewise ask, Father, if there be 10 righteous (enough to establish the order) will You spare America, and indeed the world, from these principalities and powers resident in those with closed hearts toward you?
Lord, You are good and Your mercy endures to all generations, and forever. Ancient Israel left You to pursue other gods. Spiritual Israel has followed a similar pattern, but we are waking up. As it is in our power, we speak to these principalities and powers and thank You that signs and wonders be done by You through Your people (the children of Jesus) as a witness to the world and a glory to You, and that these forces be brought to nothing.
Cursed be all opposition to truth. Blessed be all who carry your will as instruments of Your pleasure to ordain Your purpose. You, who stopped the mouth of Lions, stop the mouths of those spewing forth the venom of fear, confusion, frustration and death! Angelic hosts of the Word of God—go forth into the minds of men and women, and into their hearts—bringing the power of the Word that is God, above the powers of the word that is not God!
Grace, more grace, great grace and grace, grace be upon us and all who desire to live righteously in Christ Jesus. Lies, deceptions, manipulations, fears and intimidation of the American people be bound and cursed, they shall not have dominion over the land or its people. For we know that You, O Father are the only God, and that Your determinate counsel and foreknowledge will be done! We do not fight against Your counsel or foreknowledge, but ask that we may understand it, accept it, and further it in Your purpose and will. You are God! You are for us! May we rise to understand and do Your will with great joy and with great skill and with great determination … that all You have given will come and that all flesh may see the glory of the Lord!
We look forward to seeing the further greatness and deliverance of God in our days in and through these events. Our God is greater than all, above all, through all, and in us all! The Father has not forgotten us, but on the contrary, shall raise us up. We shall dwell in His sight in the presence of the World and His instruments shall not be abandoned but strengthened and acknowledged by the Angel of the Lord! “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, as in heaven,” so in the earth!
