“GOD’S WAR-ROOM” by Karen A Roth
In 740 BC, Israel’s King Uzziah died. A young Isaiah went into the temple to pray and saw a vision of the Heavenly Tabernacle of God. He “saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the whole temple.” One of the seraphim “cried to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of Hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory!” (ISAIAH 6:1-8)
According to some bible commentators, “Kings of old wore elaborate robes to signify their majesty and authority. The longer the train, the more powerful the king. After a king defeated an army in battle, he would cut off a portion of the defeated king’s robe and have it sewn onto the train of his robe. The longer a king’s robe, the more victories he had won. And the more authority he possessed.”
The foundation shook “and the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke…” Isaiah saw God as a Mighty Warrior of Innumerable Armies, a powerful King Who’s victorious in battle—His train indicating the whole earth gloriously surrendered to Him. After prophesying five chapters of God’s impending judgment towards the Jews, Isaiah woefully believes his life is over—how could he ever live after actually seeing the King of Kings as a Warrior arrayed for battle? But an angel told him not to worry—his sin has been purged by the coal from the altar that just touched his lips. It immediately shifted his focus.
Isaiah overheard ‘The LORD of Hosts’ strategizing to Spiritual Forces and realized the Throne-Room’s essentially God’s War-Room. In that moment, God posed an ‘operations’ question that Isaiah perceived as an opportunity to participate and responded: “Here am I! Send me.”
= JERUSALEM WAR-ROOM
In the 30’s AD, there’s evidence of God’s Throne-Room in an Upper-Room at the Temple in Jerusalem. Peter and John are on their way to the Upper-Room, but they’re stopped by a lame man. Peter spoke to him, saying: “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” The crowd thinks ‘they’ did the miracle, so Peter spoke the history of the Jews and about Jesus—Who the Jews had crucified. He calls them to repentance, saying: “To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.”
The religious leaders of the temple witnessed the notable miracle and watched about 5,000 people clamor to Peter and John. It “greatly disturbed” the leaders and they’re put into custody overnight. The next morning, they were brought to a meeting of the Sanhedrin and commanded not to speak or teach in the Name of Jesus. Peter and John boldly responded, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than God, you judge. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.” They’re further threatened by the Sanhedrin and released.
Peter and John rush to the Upper-Room and told the believers what had happened. Everyone desired more boldness to speak in the Name of Jesus and began to pray. “And … the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the Word of God with boldness.” It’s very similar to Isaiah’s vision. Jerusalem’s Upper-Room became God’s War-Room on Earth.
= PHILIPPI WAR-ROOM
But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed. ~AC 16:25-26
Earlier at Antioch, believers had prayed for who to send on a missionary journey. The Spirit revealed Paul and Silas. They were anointed and sent to the mission field. But at Philippi, they met difficult opposition and were imprisoned.
In worship, Paul and Silas experience a manifestation similar to God’s War-Room in Jerusalem—encountering the same shaking as Isaiah’s vision. It’s a miraculous display of ‘War-Room’ power—doors miraculously open, and prisoners’ chains loosen. Lulled by the Spirit, no one attempted a prison-break.
Some Bible scholars believe the earth shook as a ‘sign.’ Earthquakes aren’t so selective as to only open doors and chains. The supernatural sign allowed Paul and Silas to walk upstairs and sit in the Philippian jailer’s home to speak the things of God. The family asked to be baptized, and the new believers established a spiritual ‘foothold’ in the city.
= 21st CENTURY WAR-ROOM
December 27, 2008: In a dream, Dr. Mark Hanby designed/orchestrated an Upper-Room over our church. Everything appears pristine white as I walked up a ramp into a work still under construction. Papa Mark spoke things into position and directed my steps in the unfinished structure. I’m in a white mist like the Shekinah Glory but able to see through walls… saw a closet on the right with 12 hangers. The Upper-Room has the long narrow windows found in nature observatories—enabling me to clearly see everything on the horizon.
Through the floorboards—I see Papa Mark in rolled-up shirt sleeves, turning a huge wheel near the foundation. It shifted the Upper-Room and caused everything to shake. I fall to my hands and knees as the wall before me opened and white light flooded the whole area and beyond.
The dream compares with the similar ‘shaking’ and ‘mist’ found in Isaiah’s vision and the other War-Room encounters listed. Is God once again allowing access to His War-Room?
= WAR-ROOM OPERATIONS
November 20, 2018: In a dream, Roger wrote a letter to Papa Mark from us that listed some operational changes…one being a new phone number. I edit the letter, but before it’s sent, I walked up a plank into a building under construction. It was dark and it’s not fully supported or nailed down yet.
I awoke hearing these exact words: “Tell Roger to tell Mark that a new Age needs a new calling—a new identity, and that’s why (Roger) gave (Papa Mark) a new number. Also, let (Papa Mark) know we purchased a property for him in the North…a resting place, because all great men have a resting place in the North.” (I sensed the ‘resting place’ to be similar to ‘Father’s Heart-South Africa’ and ‘Father’s Heart-Wisconsin’—a property or resting place that joins us with Papa Mark pursuing God’s purpose on Earth.)
Years ago, I asked God for one or two sentences to interpret what He shows me in visions and dreams to keep an accurate record. But God didn’t interpret the last sentence of the dream. ‘It was dark’ may imply walking into unknown territory … ‘not all nailed down yet’ may suggests revelational knowledge yet to be confirmed or fixed on Earth—a work in progress.
= GOD’S WAR-ROOM
After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.” ~REVELATION 4:1
The Book of Samuel is the first reference to God as the ‘LORD of Hosts’—”the ark of the covenant of the LORD of Hosts, who dwells between the cherubim.” Later, on the battlefield of Israel, an inexperienced David raced towards the giant Goliath declaring—”in the Name of the LORD of Hosts.” The Mighty Warrior King of Innumerable Armies became young David’s armor and strength to defeat the Philistines.
The young prophet Isaiah looked through an open door into heaven and saw the ‘LORD of Hosts’ seated in His War-Room. Once purged and strengthened, he recognized an opportunity to participate in the War-Room and responds, “Here I am. Send me.”
Many of us felt the floor shake and saw the Shekinah Glory of an Upper-Room experience … but did you know it’s God’s War-Room!
God’s doing something different in the new age—blasting the door off its hinges to allow full access to His War-Room. We are the warriors of a new age. There’s a different operation or plan in a new age. God’s called us after the order of Melchizedek … and the Angel of the LORD empowered us saying, “Arise, be strong—the LORD is IN-TO-WIN.”
We race into the kingdom age as warriors … declaring our allegiance to the ‘LORD of Hosts’ because the victorious Mighty Warrior King of Innumerable Armies—dwells in us to WIN!
